Our own qualified cooks prepare fresh, home-cooked meals on-site, using local produce where possible.

Menus are steered by the Southlands ‘Menu Committee’, which comprises residents in collaboration with our chef. Our most popular requests include: Roast Lamb, Fish and Chips, Cottage Pie, deserts: Lemon Ginger Cheese Cake, Sherry Triffle, Bread and butter pudding with custard.

In addition, there are always tea, coffee, biscuits and delicious cake available for residents and their guests.

While we run the regular meal times in the dining room, residents are able to dine in their rooms, or request refreshments in between, if they prefer, and we can cater for most special dietary needs. Relatives are also welcome to join us for meals.
